BURSARIES, SCHOLARSHIPS AND FUNDING
For those self-funding, or from smaller organisations, the cost of participation is £350 to be paid in advance of the first colloquium and a further £350 to be paid within 12 months of commencement. If you are funding this personally it can be spread in equal instalments. We have excellent bursary facilities for those who genuinely need them.
At £750 for a year long programme (or £1150 for an employer) we consider the IYLN formation to be available at a cost whereby the great majority of participants will be able to raise the full cost of their participation from employers, universities, parishes, congregation, associations, trusts, friends and other sources. We are happy to help with some suggestions. While we expect £350 to be paid in advance of attendance of the first colloquium (or the full amount by employers) the remainder of the annual fee can be paid in equal instalments over 12 months from the first colloquium if it is being self funded.
It is our aspiration that no candidate who has been accepted on the programme and who has genuine financial need will ever be turned away. With this in mind we have established a bursary and scholarship fund. Certain bodies have also committed to supporting candidates who share their interests in a particular sector or walk of life. If you wish to apply for this funding you should write on a separate sheet at the time of your application or upon receipt of confirmation of a place. This submission should be posted in sealed envelope as it will not effect your application for a place on the programme which is on merit.
Please note the £750 (or £1150 for employers) covers food and accommodation at two colloquia, reading materials, the colloquia, monthly updates, access to web learning materials throughout the year long programme. It does not cover travel to and from colloquia.
If at any stage you have detailed questions about funding you should write to the IYLN Chairman at Scholarships@iyln.com |
