On this page you will find PDF and Word versions of our Application form. You should complete this form and return it by e-mail to info@iyln.com AND by surface or air mail to IYLN Admissions; Von Hugel Institute; St Edmund’s College, University of Cambridge; Cambridge UK CB3 0BN.
All applicants will be interviewed in person or by phone depending on location. We take up references on all applicants, and you can speed the application process by sending references in sealed (signed across the seal) envelopes with your application.
For clarity we seek to score applicants across a range of skills, knowledge and competences, including voluntary or caring responsibilities, past contributions to civic and other activities, leadership track record, stated vision, leadership potential and faith commitment. We recognise that academic strength can be an indicator of success and potential, but equally we recognise other forms of intense learning acquired in military or pastoral service, in politics and the trade unions, or in business and the voluntary sector. We seek a highly talented, committed and diverse range of talents from equally diverse backgrounds and future directions.
Although you should expect to be accepted on the colloquium of your first choice, we also want to build cohorts that are balanced by national origin, sector, gender and interest. It may be the case that this will mean that your application is accepted but you will be asked to start at a subsequent colloquium. We will aim to be as flexible as possible.
If you are accepted onto the programme, we will write to you offering a place. If you accept, a non–refundable deposit of £50.00 is required to hold your place. Upon commencement of the programme, this will be deducted from the cost of your first colloquium. |
